Loki, Of course any blanket statement is silly, including this one. I am talking about perception.

I agree that we have a well-deserved rep as innovators. However, we also have a well-deserved rep as sloppy manufacturers, which is one reason so much of "American" technology is actually produced overseas.
It is also a reason why, with all of our technological savvy, our trade deficit looks like a zeppelin.
