Corporate Vision Inc. Announces Internet Information Clearing House for Investors TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Corporate Vision Inc. (OTC: CVIA) today announces the first of several planned Internet banking services, IPOSITE.COM. IPOSITE.COM is an on-line information clearing house that offers a unique opportunity for investors to download Initial Public Offering ("IPO") prospectuses. IPO downloads will not only include Corporate Vision's IPO candidates, but prospectuses from all other IPO underwriters. In addition to prospectus downloads, IPOSITE.COM will provide daily updates, news articles, pre-IPO opportunities, investor message boards, SEC filings and other investor information covering all companies on the IPO calendar.
Corporate Vision Inc. recognizes that investors want more than the IPO summaries provided by other Web sites; they want complete information about upcoming IPO companies. IPOSITE.COM was created to fill this information void by providing the same information and due diligence access that Mutual Funds, Money Managers, Banks and Brokerage Firms have. IPOSITE.COM will help investors research, plan, and, in some cases, provide information that may allow them to purchase a company's stock directly from the Underwriter(s) (before it trades publicly) in "Pre-IPO offerings."
As a result, IPOSITE.COM will be the on-line investment bridge for investors who want the opportunity to participate in IPO offerings on a more level playing field, and who otherwise would be shut out for lack of information and direct access to the underwriting firms. All information on this site will come directly from the Underwriting Syndicates, Investment Bankers, and other information sources on a voluntary basis.
Corporate Vision's CEO, K. A. Anderson, issued these comments: "IPOSITE.COM was initially envisioned as an in-house shareholder information site for Corporate Vision's IPO calendar. But as we looked at other comparable sites on the Internet, we realized that investors had a real need for a centralized information "clearing house" in doing their investment research and due diligence, especially for small and micro-cap stocks. For this reason, we decided to expand the scope of IPOSITE.COM to serve not only CVIA shareholder needs, but all investors' IPO needs."
Mr. Anderson continued saying: "Currently, IPOSITE.COM is online in a construction phase, located at magneticdiary.com. Completion is expected within the next 30 to 45 working days. Once this is completed, the site will be launched on IPOSITE.COM, giving investors valuable Internet links and options that, until now, have been hard to find. The launch of this Internet information clearing house is Phase I of a three-step plan. After assembling a staff of industry reporters, programmers and management, we will begin Phase II, which will bring on-stream real- time quotes and operations. Phase III will consist of aggressive marketing and advertising campaigns targeting online investors. As IPOSITE.COM evolves, we believe this Web site will be the ultimate destination for providing all the information and opportunity desired by the individual investor who wants to participate in the IPO markets."
Corporate Vision believes there is a convergence underway between on-line investment banking and on-line trading. IPOSITE.COM was created to serve the individual investor's informational needs, and is in keeping with Corporate Vision's mission to be at the forefront of this e-investment convergence.
IPOSITE.COM will operate as an independent subsidiary of Corporate Vision Inc. and will not in any way alter Corporate Vision Inc.'s core business focus of providing investment/merchant banking services to highly successful and promising private companies who want to go public. IPOSITE.COM will also offer services to private companies which are seeking private funds and Direct Public Offerings (DPOs).
Corporate Vision Inc. is a fully reporting company with the SEC. This press release contains forward-looking statements with respect to the results of operations and business of the company that involve risks and uncertainties. Risks and uncertainties of the company are detailed from time to time in the company's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
