Avcorp seeks aerostructures assembly workers

Avcorp Industries Inc AVP

Wed 3 Feb 99 News Release
Mr. Ron Palfery reports
Avcorp Industries Inc. will increase their workforce. The company has
teamed up with the BC Institute of Technology for a special, one-time-only,
six-week training program to provide the specialized skills needed to work
at Avcorp's Delta facility assembling aircraft components.
Continuing market acceptance of the Challenger 604 and CRJ-100/200 regional
jets have meant production rate increases for 1999 and beyond.
Additionally, Bombardier's new regional jet, the CRJ-700, has achieved
advanced sales of 67 aircraft from seven airlines in four countries. This
growth rate has created demand for aerostructures assembly skills
unavailable in the lower mainland and developing this course with the
enthusiastic participation of BCIT and the company's customer is a true
partnership arrangement.
