They are reporting that the system is done and they are calling customer service and reporting to a national audience that they are put on hold. This is not news. Every online trading system has been down at one time or another during trading hours. It is just unfortunate for Etrade they are down when CNBC does not have much material to fill air time. Doesn't seem to be fair. BTW I have no interest in E*trade. I don't own the stock and I don't use their serice. Mary
