I should be happy, but I am nervous...

On the one hand, I for once seem to have bought at the right time (just before earnings announcement). At the moment, the market price of SWS is up over 40% since I purchased it, and I have made about $3,000 (on paper).

On the other hand, SWS is neither an internet nor a telecom stock. It is just a (ho-hum) brokerage. Certainly it cannot sustain this pace. The question is: should one expect it to fall as abruptly as it has risen?

Sorry for this stupid question. But I have difficulty evaluating the financials et al. of brokerages & banks. (Free cash flow is normally one of my criteria, for example, but it does not work with financial firms.) Not that stock performance these days has anything to do with balance sheets.
