I agree with you about some of the childish name calling junk that sometimes (a lot today) goes on the SI boards. But, I look to these boards for pro's and con's. I read some boards looking for comments about E*trade before I signed up for service. Most of the complaints were about the slow web site, but no major complaints. So, I moved about $30,000 to an account there, and started making a few trades. I liked the tools and the few trades I made over a couple week period went just fine. I then moved a large portfolio over and started trading heavy (about 25 trades a week). When my trade volume went up is when I started having problems. I have had more problems with E*trade in one month than I have had with all my other brokers over the last 4 years (both discount and full service). I am in the process of closing my account now. My point is, if I would have seen some of the posts on this message board before I opened my account, I would never have done it. The mistakes made cost me thousands.

Everyone has the right to post what they want on these boards. The posts are monitored by SI people, and if posters abuse the system they are removed. You have to take the good with the bad. I click past the childish posts and read the posts I choose. I suggest you do the same.

Bruce
