Slow day at the office Bob? You'll enjoy this.

Flexitallic is in for a shock. Who is Flexitallic? I guess they are part of that HUGE mid market that somehow justified JDEC at $49.75 once upon a time. And Arthur Andersen actually believes that JDEC's distributed computing model will support Flexitallic's remote ops...boy are they going to get rich! They don't have to believe it, they just have to spent 24 months trying to make it work and then point fingers at the vendor. Not a bad gig. $5-10M in consulting flushed and the expectations not met. Check back with them in a year or so and see how it is going all you followers of press announcements.

Consulting tip of the day: Hey Andersen, save the remote site performance tests for last so you don't blow the revenue you've comitted on the deal. Run all the conference room pilots first, then go live at the home office with as many apps as you can. Don't worry, you can do 6 months of tuning or so before you give up on getting it to work in the remote offices and find out you can't distribute the app as you might have been led to believe. If you're really saavy you can get the OneWorld replacement evaluation and subsequent replacement package installation as well. Promotions and new cars for all concerned.

Now for today's JDEC news...

I see JDEC is a teenager today with all these wonderous press announcements. You'd think with the huge revenues from Yalumba Wines the stock would be flying! How low will it go? Any beer bets out there? I'm thinking $13-15.

BTW, ROSS is good at press announcements too, soon to be $3. With JDEC's ramped licensing scheme they really don't see a ton of revenue on these deals until they go live and add users Bob. Keep that in mind. They DO have to actually make it all work to go live.
