Insider buying is when officers of a corporation buy stock, of the company that they are employed in, for their private holdings. Stock buy back is when a corporation uses excess corporate cash to buy back corporate shares and put them into treasury or retire the shares. Some times companies find that the best investment they can make is to buy corporate stock. Stock buy back benefits shareholders by reducing the number of shares outstanding. Scoobey
