SLIC makes high power semiconductor diode laser. One of the advantage they have is a 10 years exclusive license for a manufacturing technology called Desorption Mass Spectrometry (DMS) feedback control developed by Air Force. This allows SLIC to gain competitive edge on both high volume production and low cost in this market. They have installed the new machine and I believe will be in production in a few weeks.
