Hi,

I tried to get back to my source regarding their pension fund liability (from Down Jone News Retrieval) but didn't find it so the news must be more than 3 months old. But as far as I understand the
pension law (which is limited) a company can not fund its pensions will its own stocks. I remember a couple of years ago GM reached an agreement with the Labor Dept. so that they could fund a certain percentage of their pensions with GM stocks. Looking at the latest FDC annual earnings of $637 millions the pension liability (~200 mil) is a lot. On the other hand, management could also be juggling with their pension fund contributions to make their earnings look good.
