Speculation regarding QCOM, NOKA & ERICY

QCOM have fired 700 workers from it's Infrastructure Division.

In the San Diego Union Tribune, company President Richard Sulpizio strongly denied that the company was grooming the division for a sale. However, Sulpizio hinted that the trimming could lead to a "strategic partnership with somebody."Alcatel and Siemens were mentioned, but quickly added that Qualcomm is not currently negotiating with either of those companies.

My bet is that QCOM is talking (spearately) with ERICY and NOKA. Nokia have an large presence in San Diego and might take over QCOM's Infrastructure Division. It would be logical for ERICY to take it over too, in a "kiss and make up" deal.
