Ligand's various filings and press releases all contain much stronger and far more specific disclaimers and cautions than the mild "mays" in the post you cite. Furthermore, everyone knows that in the heat of argument, in a mood of bickering and irritability, angry words are spoken and regretted -- and that individual out-of-context posts are part of a chain of tit-for-tat bantering that extends back into the Dark Ages of Breakout! history. (Please don't re-hash it at this point...)
In such confrontational circumstances, most people (who have any sense of humor and proportion) also recognize sarcasm, irony, and hyperbole when they see it -- and don't read messages literally.
If I wanted to spend the time, I could find numerous calmer posts where those you identify as Ligand's enemies clarify these issues, and identify themselves as long term shareholders or position traders. Why selectively ignore those conciliatory posts? ----------------
It's my opinion that long-term grudge-holding, insistence on negative motive attribution, and character assassination are harmful to everyone's health, and harmful to the spirit and health of this thread --AND that this good-news day is a GOOD day to bury the hatchets and start afresh.
David K's right: "Hatfields & McCoys, N. Ireland, Middle East, and Lake Ligand... history repeats itself" I agree -- the dynamic is exactly the same.
But if Northern Ireland can do something about it -- hey, think SMALL, a THREAD should be able to achieve peace. ----------------
Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.
It's your choice -- and Tony's, Bob's, Steve's, and Mudcat's, and the various bobs and me too.
It's EASY to have civil diversity of opinion. We'll see who's up to it.

PS - Whatever anyone's feelings about this post, I do NOT want any amens or support for it, so please don't. I'm appealing for an END to the fighting, not a taking-sides escalation. I want a no-fault halt to the war.
