Clarence, there's a subtle zone between (about) 1020 mb
and 1024 mb in which most of this software (including
NT Disk Manager) gets confused. I can only guess, but my
guess is that it comes from figuring partition sizes without
allowing for overhead.

I tried FAT partitions of 1023 mb in NT disk manager and
found it generated 32k clusters (bad). Reduced it to
1020mb and generated 16k clusters (good). You may be
seing a variation of this problem, for all I know.

You DO want to have one or the other of the following
situations (and PM should tell you which you have):

(1) An approximately 1gig partition with 16k clusters

(2) An approximately 2 gig partition with 32k clusters

You do NOT want a 1 gig partition with 32k clusters. You
will
waste a lot of space.
