FMK,Add: Yes, that's what the 70 odd Henderson employees are doing, or so we've heard, training 100+ new hires to manufacture batteries. Since the chopping problem was solved, things should be going well.

Nobody on these threads has indicated whether ULBI has a problem, just the appearance. A wild guess might be that the rumored contract with an Asian company has fallen through. Maybe the recent CC will shed some light.

We won't know whether Mr. Liebowitz's appearance on NPR is positive until it happens. Usually, P. Kangas reviews the previous recommendations and asks "what do we do with these now"? Hope he says "buy".
