There is no direct competition, but no market, YET.
Don't forget they don't have technology, but process and GUI, all the technology is OLD hat or new label or can be done differently just as quickly once there are buyers. But if they are successful, can be very rewarding as the market disproportionately rewards leaders.
Dragon will announce technology (they actually build stuff) to do conversational VR/dictation etc... over phone lines, no strain on PC or Phone--don't forget it's a question of where the work is done.

ACCESS (sorry for not being simple) just means getting to the right data/content easily. The mobile device will actually contribute to the fall of Microsoft as who owns the easiest mobile access can control both the pipe and the content. Notice ATT TCI HOME Ecite, that is the pipe talking, with Excite having content. THe mobile GUI IS THE NEXT THING. So, I'm not negative, just not content in a "silver bullet". Again it will be a number of technologies that actually get packaged so the PUBLIC see a NEW TECHNOLOGY to believe in. Question of EDUCATION, MARKETING PARTNERSHIPS.
IBM ORACLE SUN MICROSOFT should jump on ANYTHING that looks good.

First post, well, I guess so. Again I am designing a GUI front end to integrate some of these EXISTING technologies. My interest is listening and getting market/investor feedback as it will help my own development, position and timing. Selfish, but I don't mind sharing a few opinions and perhaps observations as long as you consider that they have that bias.
There are a few other technologies which will merge in this space, but it will just muddy the water and get away from the topic farther than I have already carried it. |
