Go ahead and sell me your shares, Mr Harvey!
I will gladly buy your shares at any price under today's close. Sell all you want, cause I've already seen $3.50, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again so that I can stock up on this stock!
Yes, 1998 results were disappointing, but 1999 is a break-out year for HRBC and Tyco is positioning the company to kick some serious butt! So, sell your shares.
Also, no company in the world backs out interest income or expense from its net income figure to get to eps. Discontinued ops, maybe, but Tyco even said that he expects revenue to continue to flow in in 1999 from discontinued ops, so it does add to eps, continuing or not! What you should also watch out for is the talk on Harbinger Labs, their new product portfolio, and the internet site offerings! Not to mention other news that "isn't quite available to discuss at this time". Now, if it were bad news, do you think he'd delay relaying it?
I also think the street was expecting much worse #s, including a possible loss, as some on this thread and on Yahoo have hinted at! Well, they MADE money, and it was $.08 from core operations, not $.03! And full eps was $.16 or so, meaning that that retained earnings increased, again!!! |
