On the lighter side: After seeing the $50 offer for new customers, I once emailed ETrade asking them if they would make a $50 credit to my account - seeing how I have paid them around $200 EVERY SINGLE DAY in commissions on my daytrading activities. I received a response the following day telling me that offer was restricted to new customers. After I responded again with how ridiculous it was to pay a cash incentive for new customers and then ignore your best customers, they offered to send me (absolutely free of charge) an E-Trade T-Shirt. Somehow I just couldn't see myself walking down the street in an ETrade shirt, so I politely declined the offer! Offie
