Tero,

This link provides comments from Interdigital on their new relationship with Nokia.

Interdigital and Nokia Team-Up!

interdigital.com

Somehow I guess I don't understand the markets. Intel the who is number one gives Samsung 100 million and caused some interest from Wall Street and now the number one handset manufacturer , Nokia , is paying IDC a total of 70 million and there is very few comments from the street on this new relationship.

How come nobody is interested in number one's interest ? Does the leading handset manufacturer in the world think IDC is a charity or is this relationship for real ? They are to help Nokia with 3-G which indicates to me the W-CDMA camp has some problems in the 3-G area.

Your comments and views on this issue will be appreciated.
=====================================================================To the other board members

Being honest to everyone I am long IDC as well as Nokia and genuinely interested in this recent relationship which started 02/01/99 . I have followed Tero's post's since the beginning of the CDMA Vs GSM/TDMA debate and learned a lot. If you followed him as I have it was no contest as he fought with the best and most qualified people around. Bottom line is look at your bankbook . The charts he provides on debry.com comparing Nokia against the rest of the telecommunications companies reflect Nokia's performance over the years but more important it also reflects his performance as he said it would happen from day one.

How is it that someone such as Tero had this much insight and his education background isn't in telecommunications ?

I think he gave us the secret when he said the cab drivers in Finland know it all. .
