I have been with E*Trade since before the internet. Every problem that I have had has been associated with the rapid growth of the company and not incompetence on their part. I have registered trade discrepencies and got a better fill when the MM's were ripping off E*Trade customers in the early days. Now they do their own trades. I have an account with another online broker but the service isn't any better and their site is down at some time every day. I don't call customer service with a problem, I e-mail the request and get excellent service and a quick response. I was annoyed today when I couldn't get my order in but the time delay didn't make any difference so no big deal. Please send your comments and concerns to E*Trade by e-mail, they have set up a special address for this situation. I think they have the message already so I won't jam up their system.
