Andrew,

In the 1st group, I like PCTL best. VSVR has a strong position in MCU's (Multipoint Control Units) but is too dependent today on a few OEM relationships (PCTL, VTEL). I believe that the key to market success will be how both the 1st and second company groups position themselves in the IP/ multimedia collaboration market. This is the market that I am betting will have double digit growth. ISDN will see flat to declining growth. If PCTL can leverage its current F-1000 customer base, its relationship with Intel and its Telco distribution channel, it should do well. PLCM and its associated businesses should also do well. Brian Hinman has already turned over the CEO responsibilities of PLCM and is focusing on a new startup company called 2Wire which is going after the consumer DSL market. This should be a very big play.
