PERCEPTRONICS ANNOUNCES CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT IN SIX-MONTH
RESULTS

Woodland Hills, California -- October 26, 1998 -- Perceptronics Inc. (OTC BB: PCTR)
today reopened continued improvement in its financial results for the first six months
and second quarter of fiscal year 1999 compared with those of a year ago.

For the six-month period, revenues increased approximately 50% over the previous
year's six-month period and net income increased approximately 100% as well.
Second quarter revenues increased approximately 159% from the previous years
second quarter and net income was strong compared to the previous year's second
quarter loss.

Perceptronics' net income for the six-month period ending September 30, 1998 was
$81,437, or $0.02 pershare,onrevenuesof$2,308,102. In comparison,for the first six
months a year ago net income of $40,859, or $0.01 per share, on revenues of
$1,547,409.

For the second fiscal quarter ending September 30, 1998, Perceptronics reported a
profit of $78,215, or $0.02 per share, on revenues of $1,475,150. For the comparable
three-month period in the prior fiscal year the Company reported a net loss of
$28,050, or $0.01 per share, on revenues of $568,800.

Dr. Gershon Weltman, chairman and chief executive officer said, "The significant
increases in revenues and net income are primarily the result of increased activity
associated with previously announced production contracts for delivery of training
simulator systems and R&D contracts for development and commercialization of the
Company's InterGame product. We are very pleased with progress on the InterGame
project, and remain confident that this new business direction will have a positive
future effect on the Company's finances."
