Acclaimed Internet Analysts Steve Harmon and Paul Noglows Headline San Jose Informed Investors Forum Feb. 17
Business Wire - February 03, 1999 19:37
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Two of the most highly-respected observers in the Internet investment world -- Steve Harmon, acclaimed online Internet columnist, and Paul Noglows, Senior Analyst at Hambrecht & Quist -- headline the Informed Investors Internet Stocks Forum Wednesday evening Feb. 17 at the Hyatt San Jose.

"We are delighted to have Harmon and Noglows share their views and observations of Internet stocks and companies at one of our rare weekday evening Forums," said Tim Quast, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sacramento-based Informed Investors Forum. "This Forum should be especially appealing to Internet, digital media and e-commerce investors."

Last June, Harmon and Noglows were among four Internet analysts cited as "Best of Wall Street" by CBS Market Watch.

Harmon is author of the "Internet Daily Stock Report," a twice-daily column which provides market analysis of companies who derive their business solely from the Internet. The report incorporates the "ISDEX," Internet Stock Index, which was one of Harmon's creations, and tracks 50 publicly-traded Internet companies. It is a featured column at Mecklermedia's www.internet.com.

In addition to Harmon and Noglows, executives from online travel agency Preview Travel (Nasdaq:PTVL) will give attendees its analyst-style presentation. It's anticipated one more company, to be announced, will also present. Check www.informedinvestors.com for updates.

Noglows, Senior Analyst -- Internet/Digital Media, joined Hambrecht & Quist in 1996 to help build the firm's Internet franchise. He follows America Online (NYSE:AOL) , broadcast.com (Nasdaq:BCST), Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO) and other widely-followed issues such as CMG Information Services, GeoCities, Lycos and SportsLine USA.

Noglows also covers digital media stocks including Pixar Animation Studios (Nasdaq:PIXR), Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS), and Midway Games. He is also responsible for "iWord", an electronically distributed research product focusing on significant developments affecting Internet investments.

Prior to joining H&Q, Paul spent nine years reporting on all aspects of the media business, both new and traditional, for numerous trade and consumer publications. He currently writes a column on Internet media for The Street.com.

The Forum will run from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Cost is $25 prepaid and $40 at the door. Seating is limited. Audio tapes are available for $28.95. Call 800/992-4683 to register or order tapes.

Since 1993, Informed Investors has featured scores of quality companies and industry experts at its Forums.
