Please don't shout -- you'll wake the babies, and then you'll have to nurse them (I'd love to see you do that), and change their nappies, and rock them again to sleep. And then, if you live in Chiapas, or Peru, or northeastern Brazil, or in Angola, or Mozambique, or Samoa, or India, or Bangladesh or China, or a million other places -- you'll have to find some way to feed, and cloth, and educate them, and stop them crying when they are hungry or their father or some male visitor beats them or otherwise abuses them or you, and protect them from human predators, and loneliness -- maybe it would be better the let the dead babies sleep until we decide to love and raise every one of them in a human loving world -- but that might take money, money from the greedy who like to gloat tangled in these threads and cry out against every penny spent on taxes, on the poor, on the sick, and on the children who would flood the world with agony were not women who did not want them and could not keep them or raise them were helped to empty their wombs until a brighter, warmer day for real born children arrives. |
