C.R. Earle, thanks for your detailed response. You make some very good points. I agree that trying to time a stock, or market, is a very difficult thing to do. A buy and hold strategy generally produces more profits for an investor. By the way, I usually am long a stock and don't try to time my orders. I prefer fundamental analysis and will sell a stock when I think the fundamentals of a company, or sector, are changing.

As I said, Dell tends to be in a different league than most companies. They have set the bar very high, and there is no margin for error. Well, lets see how things play out between now and earnings time.
