Cold-eeze tastes terrible and causes minor nausea (and perhaps more) in many people, including myself. I have not been using it for my last several colds, for that reason.

Cold-eeze does lessen the symptoms of colds, but cannot cut the duration of the "worst part of the cold" to less than 4-5 days in my experience. Zicam promises to do much better.

If zinc works, and there is a product that delivers the zinc right to the point of entry of the virus, AND also physically blocks the virus from attaching to the ICAM-1 receptor site, that sounds like a winner to me. I WILL try Zicam, and even a $10 difference per cold (or $2 per day, if an average cold messes up work performance for 5 business days) is immaterial.

But all this will make no difference when the mass public reacts to a Geron/Entremed-style TV, newspaper or magazine piece.
