Allegro software will be offered by Lucent as an option to buyers of its Inferno operating system. These may include telephones with screens allowing Internet connections, said Vince Lesch, vice president of marketing for Lucent's Inferno Software Solutions unit. ''There are no products shipping that have incorporated this feature,'' said Lesch. ''We didn't buy their technology. We're making it available to our licensees.'' He said the agreement with Fonix was first announced in November at a trade show in San Jose, California.
