Cars break down, cell phones disconnect...during important calls only :(, cable TV goes out at inopportune times...during one of the only televised Michigan State Univ football games, NT/Windows sucks all the time, :) You get the drift. ETrade has a good business plan and management has not proved themselves incompetent...yet. I use Scottsdale and Etrade and both from time to time have outages as well. Right now Scottsdale's portfolio tracking function doesn't work. Will all of us that use the internet to trade see outages from time to time... you can count on it. Hell, the NASDAQ went down about 5-6 months ago....remember that.... How fast we forget, just like this little hickup. As an investor this doesn't bother me a bit. As a customer, I'm not real pleased. Will I change.. No. Why? because the grass is brown all over. I think overall E*Trade does a good job delivering it's services. Will they get better...sure. Long on most online brokerages, my .02 mg
