Search on Broadband on SI didn't produce a whole lot --->
Wireless Market is split in 2: earth/terrestrial/microwave wireless and space/extra-terrestrial/satellite wireless
Satellite modems much faster, can reach you anywhere on earth but with microwave wireless, equipement(base stations) are needed on roof tops or cellular antenna nodes, etc
CMIC is moreso in the satellite end.
The former key co in the industry (i'll let u figure that out - it is a Cdn co) has sold off most of its businesses b/c it wants to focus on robotics (fair enough, but stupid imo, b/c they were commissioned by the industry to design the uplink/2-way satellite and develop the protocol for transmission)
CMIC, Hughes, NEC, and a few others in Satellite/Broadcast mkt. CMIC B/C they have the best mkt shr in the 4 mkt segments (aside from a BB stk which is in extreme financial trouble)
Some broadband co's I found on quick "broadband search"
1. BBTK is crap - through Gorcon last summer, Gorc almost took a job to help promote the co - some will buy b/c it's cheap
2. LU has some of the microelectronics eg. ARTT. But note on ARTT, they are just using LU products; a lot of other co's can use LU's products, too.
3. NN - great co - surprising ppl - i posted about it with it's earnings in Nov. Earnings plays my forte, by knowing co's, trends, and industries/subsegments

4. CMTO - good co, but commercialized mkt not ready for their tech
