Couple thing on your TP portals news...

Some Truth..

Last week, CheckFree Corp., the industry's dominant vendor of electronic bill payment and presentment services, confirmed it was joining forces with a major Internet portal, widely rumored to be Santa Clara, Calif.-based Web titan Yahoo! Inc.

Formerly known as MSFDC, the fledgling company is a joint venture of Microsoft and First Data Corp.; last fall, Citibank also climbed aboard, buying a minority equity state in TransPoint.

And some Smoke.

Although Dent won't disclose what role TransPoint's bank clients will play vis-a-vis MSN, they are integral to Web-enabled bill delivery, he says. "We have a different approach than CheckFree's because we center on combining bank and portal capabilities. We don't want to offend our bank partners."

Now if my memory serves me correctly...I read the Quarterly Press, I listened to the confrence call...one of the first things out of Pete's mouth was please no questions on the Portal deal. And then he didn't go into any details on any deal. So how does this guy, know what Checkfree is gonna do?

Pete you better have your Office Checked for Bugs?
