Bobby / Timing

You're right. If you are ever going to hold a good position in a quality stock, buying at this stage is right way to do it. Holding a basket full of these companies is not a bad idea. Trying to be successful with only one holding of this nature --- well the odds are against you to make that unbelievable profit -- you know, the ones we all dream about.

There is an equal task that you will be confronted with if the company becomes successful. That will be the impulse to sell after making a paper gain of 2-3 times your investment. Patience is further rewarding. However, on first discouraging news - sell and move on.

As example, I was overjoyed to sell Berkley Petroleum at 2-1/2 times what I put into it. There wasn't anything negative happening, just took solid profit. Now I'm sad, for shares have increased 4X from the level I sold at. (10X my original investment) Bottom line, timing is
essential for small investors as we are. Impatience for holding and, not knowing when to sell are common errors we as small investors are well known for.

Bobby, I hope this is a home run for you.
