I hate to say it but I too cut back my position today. I was extremely disappointed to see end of year sales for this year be essentially unchanged from a year ago. I don't see this stock going anywhere in the short term. Although I still think they will do well over the long haul, I will have to wait and see how their new product launches do this year before I re-establish a full position.

As for EMC, I wouldn't touch them with my worst enemies money at this price. They are a great company and I have followed them for several years. However, they have over sold storage to many of their larger customers for this year. Consequently, their growth in 1999 will slow substantially and the stock price will undoubtedly follow. If you want a ground floor opportunity, then look at CPU. They are coming off a bottom strong and heading much higher in the long term.
