>>The presentation was terrible" said Tejinde Singh, Managing Director of Rekiance Capitol, who could not understand why Novell didn't take the chance to hype itself more to investors. "I don't know why they were beating around the bush".Though Singh still believes Novell has great potential, the lackluster presentation failed to sway another fund manager who sat in to see what the company was all about."No, I wasn't convinced after the presentation" he said, adding that he didn't think he would buy any shares.>>
In today's "take no prisoners" frenzied world of Internet transformation, Wall Street needs to see passion that's laced with vision, heart and energy.
What Wall Street doesn't get right now is that this incredible new stage for passion, vision, heart and energy has been created by Novell for the world of directory application developers to populate.
Recall when windows, visual basic and all the rest of Microsoft's tools first came out. DOS, OS/2, Apple and others were still vying for possible app platform contention. Windows was crude, slow and unstable - still is - but that didn't stop developers from seeing an incredible opportunity on their hands to create new products in this new "platform space".
The world is confused about what space the "next killer platform" will be for application development. My bet is on NDS and Novell. Lucent, Nortel, Bay, Cisco, IBM, Sun, HP and others are just beginning to recognize this. It's all about positioning. With Windows 2000 DOA for at least the next 2+ years, "internet time" will not allow the big guns to wait for Gates to get his act together.
It's the Internet Stupid!!
The Internet IS the next platform space to populate. Novell and NDS has all the tools necessary to launch this huge enterprise rush of the world into this explosive, frenzied world of e-commerce.
Companies and the app developers that serve them can't wait any longer. We are at THE flux point, a tremendously leveraged threshold where Novell is poised to "lock and load" across its huge warm domain of satisfied and impressed enterprise base of customers who need the tools, technology and support to open up to the rush of Internet Wave 2.
Novell is in the catbird seat. Stay neutral Eric. Stay high. Let the market come to you. You don't have to dance, spin, shine or buy your way into anyone's soul.
NDS follows the pure internet model - high, neutral, embracing, intelligent, connected, open..... App developers that get on board NDS are in for an incredible ride of growth and prosperity. I say, let the developers enter this "space" and lock the clients. Novell's energy and passion will mirror that of this growing group of enthusiastic companies that take advantage of this trend.
Analysts and fund managers are followers. Novell is still in the question box. Great time to buy more.
Go Novell!
