>>You only make money by averaging down if a company is a quality company. This company has begun to raise issues in my mind as to its soundness.<<

Well, then why did you buy a sh*tload of COMS yesterday, if
the company fundamentals are so bad? Don't tell me it was a
trade, since being a flawed company in your logic would mean
you are just pissing $$ down the drain.

>>Also management of this company shows no interest in plight of its shareholders.<<

Sure, we need some positive statements from somewhere. NO FACTS
HAVE YET TO COME OUT. 3Com has a reasonable chance of doing
well, but the truth is that they don't know themselves at this
point the EXACT situation they are in. They know that this
quarter is historically tough - no surprise - and they've
said so a gazillion times. In some ways, there's not much
more they can say without making it sound like they're holding
your hand and drying your crocodile tears finder.

No analyst at this time can predict whatsoever
the financial status of this quarter. AND, a GOOD MARGIN OF
SAFETY has already been incorporated into the estimates.

The back loading is typical of this quarter and expected.

*****ALSO*********

COMS knew months ago, that this was a tough quarter. They
were 5 cents over last quarter. No doubt, if they felt they
had to, they could have save some of that surplus for this
quarter. They most probably had some surplus at the beginning
of this quarter.

AND, if things are so miserable, why did not DLJ *downgrade*
the stock?
