AGGREAT:

Right on!

The securities industry is MY warm market - 17 yrs - futures, options, stock trading, technology development, etc.

My company and another technology company are partnering up to form a new company to attack this tremendous opportunity with Novell/NDS and related app/infrastructure-related tools, etc.

With NT failing and NT 2000 years away, we see this giant Red Sea opening up in our favor.

I don't just post on these boards. I'm involved with the technology, the firms, the players who can make this all happen. I happen to have a large position in Novell, but I see the real leverage in getting in the trenches to make the server-centric world of the internet really come alive.

Electronic trading - professional AND retail - is still in its infancy as far as technology is concerned. With NDS technology - intelligence, security and scalability - there is no reason why the average firms needs to continue supporting legacy back-front end solutions for connectivity, clearing and basic day to day processing.

The GIANT sucking sound of Internet Wave 2 is just gathering steam.

We had a fanstastic time visiting 14 large firms in NY last week - all the majors. This is not the place to go into details of what we are doing, but suffice it to say that we have some very BIG plans to expose the entire National Market System to the power of the Global Internet. The neat thing about this is that Novell's technology will be there NOW to make all this happen. We don't have to wait 2-3 years and we have the Y2K freeze to spend time
with the people who need to understand this NOW so they can prepare for the future.

Microsoft makes big claims to be all over Wall Steet. As the E-Trade disaster today and yesterday painfully displays, NT does not cut the mustard. NT is great as a low end gui-app server for information, etc., but once you enter into the domain of "real-time" trading you need the horsepower, security and scalability to run your business. Many NT systems out there are being run into the ground by the explosive increase in volumes. The network
messaging infrastructure is not up to par to handle these incredible volumes.

The Red Sun is rising. Sun will benefit bigtime, too.
