NT is great as a low end gui-app server for information, etc., but once you enter into the domain of "real-time" trading you need the horsepower, security and scalability to run your business. Many NT systems out there are being run into the ground by the explosive increase in volumes. The network messaging infrastructure is not up to par to handle these incredible volumes. >> Can you verify that eTrade uses NT software to run their online trading system? Per a link provided here on what eTrade is using, it mentioned Netscape Enterprise software on Sun Solaris hardware.
