Before we get too carried away with comparing ABTX with other fly by night acquisition-only companies, let's remember that ABT has a long term business plan.

Part one of that plan was massive acquisitions to build a dominant position in the forage/turf sector. They have done that ahead of their original schedule. ABT is now on its way to being a monopoly in this area. I don't know of too many monopolies that have gone out of business.

They have now publicly stated they are ramping up phase two, which is to integrate the acquisitions into one dominant firm. They are making management changes to better accomplish that.

Short term, who knows what's going to happen to the share price? This company has been all over the map. But through it all, management has continued to execute its business plan. If you're in this for the short term gyrations, good luck on your timing. So far the shorts have been right. For the rest of us who bought in to the long term vision thing, it's tough watching the price fall but nothing fundamental has happened to make me think current management cannot continue to execute their plan to (almost) perfection. That means eventually, the price will catch up to the reality. It's a matter of waiting, something most on this board are incapable of doing. Sometimes in investing, you have to be patient and have nerves of steel.

Personally, I think it would actually be beneficial to the non-believing longs to stay away from this board. The nervousness induced here can give people itchy selling fingers.
