Summary
1. AMD discovers production problem.
2. Desparate to fill orders for K6-2-400s, AMD uses up an incredible amount of wafer real estate and has to dump leftovers as AFR 66 chips lowering 4th qtr ASps.
3. AMD falls 2 months behind schedule with K6-3-400 and 3 months behind with K6-3-450. With little volume of K6-3s in the 4th quarter
and chance for significantly raising overall ASPs is dashed.
K6-3-450 won't have volume enough to matter.
4. Intel moves up release of Celeron 366 and 400 and begins predatory pricing to regain share.
5. Intel introduces Socket 370, takes more low end.
6. Intel further reduces Celeron Prices and dumps 300s and 333s.
7. Intel announces Celeron 433 moved up to a March release squashing any chance of AMD getting any premium ASP for the yet unreleased K6-450.....

Looks like AMDs process problem has really cost them. Combine this with Intels moving up of the release of the Celerons and you get a double whammy. No wonder this will be a blah quarter for AMD...
