I saw "Europa Europa" but must have missed "Olivier.." Is it as good as "Europa..?" I went through a phase of renting surrealistic movies which might be considered elitist some were French, some South American, porbably cerebral, although its always hard to tell. Some of them seemed to be written and directed by lunatics. I enjoy watching almost anything as long as it isn't boring or formulaic. Elitism doesn't bother me unless it causes the movie to be stilted. Speaking of elitist or cerebral did you see "My Dinner with Andre" or "Vanya on 42nd Street?." I love Wallace Shawn.
