Online brokerage firms surged once again as E-Trade (EGRP) shares fell 3/8 to 54 7/8 after its online trading experienced disruptions for the second day in a row. M.H. Meyerson (MHMY) shares jumped 6 3/16, or 92 percent, to 14 1/4; J.B. Oxford Holdings (JBOH) rose 6 7/16, or 54 percent, to 18 7/16; National Discount Brokers (NDB) gained 1 11/16 to 39 5/16; and Siebert Financial (SIEB) shares shot up 9 to 58 1/2. Online financial data providers also jumped: PC Quote (PQT) ran up 2 5/16 -- 54 percent-- to 6 13/16. PC Quote's CFO John Juska said, "The whole sector is very strong and the online industry is attracting a lot of attention overall." Shares of online financial data provider Track Data (TRAC) rose 1 7/8 to 14 1/4.
