Kurlak is a clever guy who did some good analysis early on in his career wrt to Intel, parlayed some extraordinary luck, and used ML PR to maximise his influence. His more recent calls on MU, INTC, and AMD really call in to question whether Kurlak has exceeded his level of competence. Remember, this guy does not have a technical background. His background is in banking. Maybe early on he could get away with analyzing the PC industry when things were much simpler. Advances in semiconductors and microprocessor have accellerated rapidly and I can't beleive that he is keeping up. I am fairly certain he does not fully understand the Xeon and the Xeon market. I am also fairly certain that he is under a lot of pressure at ML for missing the MU and INTC calls. The AMD call must have really put a lot of pressure on him. All he did today was try to back out of the AMD call and create a little bit of noise about Intel to deflect some of the attention he would have gotten in trying to explain his AMD call. Only thing is, he didn't realize it, but his announcement today was equivalent to some stressed out guy shouting fire into a crowded room full of nervous investors. I hope I'm wrong about this and hope everything gets straightened tomorrow. Mary
