Don't lose faith. The fact that mob psychology has taken over means that fundamental analysis will be much more profitable than otherwise. If everyone was doing fundamental analysis, it would be harder to beat them. The key problem re timing is what about shorting an overvalued stock. You could get killed waiting, even if you were right. I think the Internet stocks are mostly overvalued because profit margins are going to be under pressure. Revenues I can see being huge, and so comparing values to today's revenues is meaningless. But given big revenues, how will these companies be able to charge much for services or ads if they do not have proprietary content?
