Repap has had debt problems now for years. Have they reached a point where it is no longer manageable? Interest rates are lower now than they have been for years. If things were so out of hand why would Avenor even have proposed the buyout in the first place when they could have just bought whatever assets they wanted? I have attempted to contact Repap but they have a lot of angry shareholders to deal with.
