Hi L.B.Nguyen; I think the Xilinx Altera spread has been a bargain for months, but the other way. For all my bitching and groaning about the Xilinx tools, Altera is the one that is in trouble, as the new Xilinx Virtex silicon is just too sexy for most engineers to resist. I am sure they will have their Virtex design software under control by this summer, and they are going to pick up a lot of market share in FPGAs. In addition, they are picking up share in EPLDs, already. But what do I know... -- Carl
