EDS Conference Call was what you would expect for new CEO - Dick Brown had high praise for quality of EDS Staff, market opportunities, and financial condition of EDS. He stated that one priority is better contract execution across the board. Priority will also be on shareholder value. He will give analysts a more complete guidance on 1999 outlook on or about April 29th. First quarter 1999 will not exceed first quarter 1988 minus a 7 cent contribution last year from the one time sale and gain regarding leasing assets. Revenue growth for 1999 is targeted at double digits. Therefore, the analysts have a first quarter number with remaining outlook provided April 29th. On reflection, this is a pretty good strategy. He should continue to get a honeymoon until the April outlook.
