To William: Yes IBM is a great company, but you
just can't fight the ticker. I dumped it today
and made up the loss in about 20 minutes in JB
Oxford (early morning). With the news of the great
quarter and the split the stock should have made
the move past 200. If mutual fund managers can
put up 200 to 400 bucks for the likes of EBAY
and AMZN it just didn't make much sense to hold
such a huge position in this short term loser.
Look, I've made 100% in less than a week in DCLK,
SEEK, and XCIT. Dell computer has also been an
outstanding performer for me in the past. Hell,
I made over 10,000 in under two weeks holding
the great AOL. In any event, today was the final
straw for me and IBM. I'm sure it will continue
to be a winner someday but for now the trend is
down and like I said don't fight the tape!! Good
Luck and enjoy the dividend.
