PLC - Manufacturer's heart Laser machines. They are the only company to have FDA approval. The stock was beaten down for various reasons:
1- The first go around the FDA did not approve the device. It took them much longer to get the approval and their earnings suffered.
2- Even after they got the approval, Health plans did not authorize this procedure to be covered on their plan.
3- The stock fell out of favor with institutions which dumped the stock.

The stock was down to 4. Now they have the approval and Health Plans have started to approve their procedure. The stock is now back to 6. But this was once a $30 dollar stock.
Their earning should start to improve.
It has also been rumored to be a take-over candidate. They are small company and the demand for the heart laser machines could exceed their capabilities.
Once they get back in favor with institutions, it could be big.
They need to break out of the current trading pattern.

GYMB- Gymboree is a well known company. They recently announced an on-line store and a new president to concentrate on internet operations. This stock was once in the 20s. Now is 10. The chart looks right for a turn-around. Especially with new management and internet exposure. They also just put out earnings which showed same store sales increasing. They also announced that they expect further improved results in 1999.
