In the CC, they stated it would be at least halfway through the quarter before the effects of the fix were felt. If the fix really didn't work, we wouldn't have heard today that it specifically DID work.

The problem here is pricing pressure, and nothing more. The fact is, AMD isn't going to be making much money until the K6-3 starts heading out the door in quantity, and that's late March at best--exactly what we heard from AMD today.

You can try to paint this as another manufacturing snafu on top of the last one (allegedly corrected by the "late mask fix"), but that's about as believable as you being short this stock.
