FYI, I am short only 2,000 shares of SIEB as stated. But I am long 2,000 shares of TECD (bought at 20 two days ago), 2,000 shares of YPF, bought at 29 about a week ago, 1,000 shares of TBH, bought at 53, 4,000 shares of CBTSY bought ~14 two months ago, 4,000 shares of CD at 20.5 bought earlier this week and 6,000 shares of NOVL bought at 16. SIEB is my only short position.
It does not need my thrashing to go down. When you buy a stock only because it has a small float and are hoping that the small float will push it up, then you don't believe in the company either. What you are saying is that you'll be off loading it to someone more stupid than yourself before the music stops. On a float of 600k which just got trippled (at least), about 18 MILLION shares were traded since yesterday. Are you actually saying that these are investors in the company who believe in the cyber future as you put it? Face the facts pal. And even assuming that porn and online brokerage are the biggest money makers (which I do not believe) whatever makes you think that Merril, DLJ, and other big boys will let the money go to SIEB instead of theirown pockets?
