Our financial press/wires will find us soon enough...

It's fun coming in at the ground level and supporting a new business in its infancy. Some move more quickly than other's and this one looks like it'll start to move ahead in short order.

There was some News today related to this weeks Internet Conference in Toronto: Financial Post p.C6 - "Most Internet portals popular money losers, 2.5-million 'hot' Canucks, Web site firms look to broaden revenue model" (David Akin). The article does talk about e-commerce and how portals are starting to make money on e-commerce transactions.

Still early days, but I suspect that the eMerge Alliance will now begin to appear more often in the financial press and trade papers.

So is this partnership going to work? There are no guarantee's, but the NYC-brokered $CAN14M financing - with the first phase (up to $CAN6M) anticipated to be in place by the end of this month - will ensure that the partnership has the capital to move ahead aggressively. Don't lose sight of who is onboard behind them:

CASH MONEY - good call on getting out when you did - could have gone either way. You're right in that you got lucky this time, and I'm pleased you made a good profit. I must admit that it wasn't a good feeling to see the shorts taking a hold of VNE in the last 90 minutes of trading yesterday, but participating in a panic sale is the last thing I would do for a stock like this. Who knew what would happen this morning - lot of folks sold at the bell with their pre-open orders - I could have done the same given yesterday's action - and boom within 10 minutes it was up by $0.23 on the previous close - I would have kicked myself!

Trying to time the market as VNE moves forward is a sure recipe to lose dollars in the long run - yesterday the shorts won, next time they may not. The partnership looks great and I'm going to enjoy moving forward with them (and buying on the dips when I can).

I'm pleased that the stock stabilized today and that the volume was strong - puts the stock into more secure hands.

David.
