Well, most likely u will be right on both.

However, there still is a potential for a good comeback. Not one to take out Iomega but to get back into the game.

Iomega still has to come out with a drive that performs as well if not better, not just bigger capacity. Currently, Syquest's technology is superior to Iomega. Their drives performance proves that.

Syquest still has time to reap some profits and before Iomega releases a 2 GB version or better. Syquest's survival will partially depend on how fast Iomega release a better drive.

If Syquest's drive comes out soon enough, people who have been dying to get the drive will get it and will most likely not spend more money to buy another removable (maybe 2 GB) for $400-$500 any time soon.
